200 Non-AC Trains to Start Operating from June 1, Announced Indian Railways – News Update
LN Trend Team = In order to bring back normalcy and stranded migrants home, Indian Railways decides to restore a part of its services and announces that it will run around 200 Non-AC passenger trains from June 1.
These trains are apart from the Shramik Special Trains, which have been operating since May 1 and transported around 21 lakh 50 thousand migrants home so far.
Also, the upcoming set of 200 passenger trains' tickets can only be booked online, and Railways has requested people to not gather at the railway stations for the ticket bookings. It comes after keeping social distancing norms in mind.
The Railway Minister Piyush Goyal also tweeted and requested migrants to stay where they are – Indian Railways is coming to get you home.
The time table of the new trains will be out soon along with the operating cities and stations. The focus of this venture is to bring connectivity primarily to the small cities and towns of our country.
